I have been rideing forever. i was born into a rodeo family. my mom barrel raced and team roped and my dad team ropes, calf ropes, trains horses and used to work at a show barn.
i got my first pony when i was 2 years old. she was a small chestnut mare named Babe. I had Babe for 2 years before we had to put her down she taught me the ropes of riding. after babe passed i got patches a small paint pony but he was very barn sour and stubbron so he was shipped. i then got daisey a older black mare who was only good for slow work. she taught me how to barrel race at home and was my mount for boots and saddle club, parades ect. she was an ex trick riding horse so i found her quiet cool and at that point i wanted to be a trick rider. soon daisy got really sore and we had to ship her also. next came CB who was my dads head and heel horse and my moms barrel horse at the time. i started riding him when i was 5 and did local jackpots troting around the barrels by myself i made it to the ABRA finals twice on him. my brother addison soon needed a mount though so i passed him down and began riding frosty my moms barrel and team roping horse. frosty was also a ex jumping horse and i decided one day to lay the 3 barrels on the ground and go over them ( this was when i was 7 ish) in my barrel saddle my parents made for me(they own pro champion horse gear) i made it over the first time but the second time frosty spend up and quickly flew over the jump causeing me to fall on my face. frosty also taught me how to ride bareback and at the age of 8 i could lope smoothly around the pasture. i ran and won many pewee barrel races on him and made it to the ABRA twice as well. then my parents got devorced and i moved from cremona to claresholm with my dad and my step mom. CB was sold in the divorce and Frosty passed away from cancer. my dad was left with only the 2 year olds angel and rocket and doc who was 7 at the time. they had nothing for me to ride. so they bought Babe a old bay mare out of saskatuwan. she helped me learn how to push a horse because before i had always been on automatic horses. my brother benton then started rodeoing off babe and i got nother horse from the same place he was younger though. a gougeous palomino gelding named buddy. i trained buddy for barrels my self and even did some jumping on him. i ended up starting my first year in 4h on him but he coliced and passed away. i then started running win. he was sycho in barrels and poles but i won a pile on him! he is still around and i breakaway rope off him and he still wins except now he is 25 years old! i than got scooter a old allaround horse that any one could ride and do anything on! i jr high school rodeoed off him and trained him in barrels, poles and goats. unfortunatly after a long night of suffering scooter passed away do to a kidney stone he was unable to pass. i stopped barrel raceing for a year until i got spinner a old bay throughbred who had been ran on the race track, and went to the NHSRA finals 4 times in poles and goats. i won many 2D barrel races on him but i just recently sold him to a new girl. I now have a yearling colt named drifter, a yearling filly named fancy, still have angel and doc, and i have a new horse named frosty, a gelding named joe, concho, streaker, win and comet.
